With the short amount of time that I’ve spent working with A Moment of Magic, the program has already shown me how rewarding and humbling it is to make a child’s day. To be a small flicker of light in one of their hardest times for both the child and the parent alike is something I’m so excited to take part in. By becoming a character I would have the opportunity to be this light and provide such a special memory to such special kids across the tri-state area. A Moment of Magic gives college students the opportunity to dress as a princess and visit pediatric cancer centers. As a character, I would spend afternoons with the patients for their birthdays, end of chemo parties and regular sing alongs. Working with kids is something I have always been passionate about and I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to make a difference in such a unique way. In order to become a character in training, I’m obligated to fundraise a minimum of $400!
