A Moment of Magic was founded in 2015 by two college students in New York dressing up as popular princesses and visiting medically vulnerable children to share a world of love and magic. After an overwhelming amount of success, the organization flourished to schools across the nation bringing charm to sixteen chapters and twenty-nine states! With 500 volunteers involved and generous contributions from donors, A Moment of Magic continues to bring joy into the minds of children and families who need it the most.
I am fundraising to purchase my own costume so I can bring smiles and laughter to children in West Virginia and eventually all around the country. I first learned about this wonderful association at WVU’s student organization fair where I was inspired by the idea of bringing happiness in the form of fantasy. I want to be a part of restoring the magic of believing at a time when a child needs to ‘just-be-a-kid’ and reminding them to be Brave, Strong, and Fearless.
